Infectious Disease Epidemiology and Applied Studies (IDEAS) Initiative
Infectious Disease Epidemiology and Applied Studies (IDEAS) is a new translational research initiative that leverages a research program begun in 1998 on the epidemiology, prevention, and control of infectious disease (the Klausner Research Group), the work beginning in 2020 of the USC COVID-19 Pandemic Research Center (CPRC), and a growing portfolio of research on Long-COVID.
Our goal is to provide a comprehensive resource for anyone interested in this field, whether you are a researcher looking for collaborations and funding opportunities, a student seeking research opportunities, or a member of the public interested in learning more about infectious diseases and how to prevent them.
The initiative involves a multi- and trans-disciplinary team of researchers, students, and public health advocates who are passionate about understanding and combating infectious diseases, locally and globally. Our goal is to provide a comprehensive resource for anyone interested in this field, whether you are a researcher looking for collaborations and funding opportunities, a student seeking research opportunities, or a member of the public interested in learning more about infectious diseases and how to prevent them.
